Mildly. Severe cases are rare, but it can cause discomfort and is best kept out of reach.

How vets treat it

Monitor for dehydration and provide supportive care for gastrointestinal upset. Contact a veterinarian if neurological signs or severe vomiting occur.

Why it's dangerous

The plant contains steroidal saponins which act as irritants to the gastrointestinal system and can cause systemic neurological effects if ingested in large quantities.
