Yes. The website guides are free to read and do not require an app download or an account. Start with foods for dogs or foods for cats, or explore the dog toxicity guide and cat toxicity guide for plants, medications and household hazards.

The guides provide general information with linked sources. If your pet may have been exposed to something harmful, contact your veterinarian or an animal poison service rather than relying on a guide to decide whether treatment is needed.

The scanner is designed to read a product barcode with your iPhone camera, look up the product and check its ingredient list for substances that can harm dogs or cats. It does not identify loose food from a photo.

An internet connection is required. Product records may be missing, incomplete or out of date, and a scanner result cannot confirm that a product is safe for your individual pet. Read the packaging and consult your veterinarian when you are unsure. The scanner is part of the upcoming app, not a tool available on this website.

No. StrawPaw requires an internet connection. Account data, pet profiles and care records sync online, and the barcode scanner needs a connection to look up products and analyze ingredients.

Offline use, including offline walk recording, is not supported.
